Why the Mont-Blanc “Young Race”? Join fellow Maine high school cross-country runners representing “Team Maine” in your age group at the Mont-Blanc “Young Races” in June 2026, the world’s premier youth international trail running events that take place during the Mont Blanc Marathon weekend in Chamonix, France. You can choose to enter the U18 age category for the 7 km race or the U20 age category for the 13 km race (with 2 athlete contracts to Team New Balance up for grabs)! You will enjoy a true festival of competition and cultural exchange with runners from around the world, with all cross-country and cultural sightseeing activities included in your trip package. Runners will represent Maine on a global stage, testing their abilities against international competition
About “Team Maine” / Who can apply? Team Maine” High School Invitational tours provide Maine high school athletes with the opportunity to travel internationally to represent Team Maine competing in selected sporting events. Each trip allows Maine student athletes to “Compete, Learn, and Grow Beyond the Classroom”, enhancing their sports, cultural, and educational development. Team Maine is open to Maine based high school student athletes who competed in the 2025-2026 school year (including graduated seniors from the class of 2026) who have the character, discipline, and motivation to positively represent Maine in their given sport. The trip is open to all high school student athletes, but the final team selections will be made based on recommendations from coaches and athletic directors. *All applicants will be selected based on feedback and recommendations from their coaches and athletic administrators. Please provide one or more references on your application, ideally your high school coach and/or your AD.

Proposed Itinerary
June 24 - Depart Boston Logan International Airport for Paris, France onboard an overnight flight!
June 25 - Arrive in Geneva where your tour leaders will greet you at the airport. We will transfer to Chamonix and to your accommodations to drop bags/check in. Time to relax after the overnight flight.
June 26 - Today we will have a light training session followed by a walk around the beautiful town of Chamonix.
June 27 - Race Day… participants will compete in their appropriate race in the Chamonix Valley.
June 28 - This morning you will have free to enjoy shopping and dining in Chamonix. In the afternoon we will take a trip up the Aiguille du Midi where you will reach an altitude of 12,604 feet with panoramic views of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps!
June 29 - Today we will take a trail run on Chamonix’s world class trail network. Afternoon to relax and enjoy your last evening in Chamonix.
June 30 - We will transfer to the airport to return home; leaving behind Chamonix, but taking with us friendships and memories for a lifetime.

What’s Included
Trip Leader Services
Full-time Trip Leaders assigned to your group for the duration of the trip and available to answer questions, handle emergencies, etc.
Airfare
Round trip airfare, including taxes, fuel surcharges, and fees (package w/o flights available if you would prefer to purchase your own airfare).
Guided Tours/Activities
All guided tours/activities (including entrance fees) to cultural/historic sites, and other points of interest as listed are included throughout the tour.
Sports Expenses
All sports/race related expenses, including the race entry fees. All players will receive ASTravel uniforms and swag for participation.
Ground Transportation
All ground transportation costs upon arrival (including fuel surcharges, tolls, and parking).
Accommodations
Accommodation each night at 3-star equivalent properties in double or triple occupancy.
Two Meals a Day
Breakfast at your hotel each day, and lunch or dinner each day are included.
